Cookie Policy
Last updated: May 2026
This Cookie Policy explains what cookies and similar technologies NationRepair (nationrepair.net) uses, why we use them, who sets them, and the choices you have. It complements our Privacy Policy.
1. What Cookies Are and Why We Use Them
A cookie is a small text file stored in your browser when you visit a website. Cookies (and related technologies such as local storage and tracking pixels) let a site remember your preferences, measure how its pages are used, and — when you give consent — help advertisers measure the performance of campaigns. NationRepair uses a small number of cookies for two purposes only:
- To make the site work properly — for example, remembering your light or dark theme preference so it persists between visits.
- To understand how the site is used and to support it — through anonymized analytics and, when you accept, advertising measurement that helps keep our content free.
We do not use cookies to build personal profiles ourselves, and we never sell your personal information.
2. Cookies We Use
The table below lists the categories of cookies and similar technologies used on this site, who sets them, and how long they last.
- Analytics cookies — measure aggregate site usage and distinguish unique visitors so we can understand which guides are useful. Typically expire between 24 hours and 2 years.
- Advertising and targeting cookies — measure the performance of ad campaigns and attribute conversions. Typically expire after 30 days.
- Theme preference (NationRepair, stored in browser local storage, not a cookie) — remembers your light/dark theme choice. Persists until you clear your browser data.
3. Who Sets Each Cookie
- Set by us (NationRepair): the theme preference entry in local storage.
- Set by third-party analytics providers: analytics cookies that distinguish unique visitors, loaded only when analytics cookies are accepted.
- Set by third-party advertising providers: advertising and targeting cookies that measure ad performance, loaded only when advertising cookies are accepted.
Third-party cookies are loaded only after you accept them through our cookie banner. We do not pass your name, email address, or any other directly identifying information to these third parties.
4. How to Opt Out
You can opt out of non-essential cookies at any time. The simplest options are:
- Reject via the cookie banner — click Reject all cookies the next time the banner appears. If the banner is not currently visible, clear nationrepair.net site data in your browser to make it appear again, then choose Reject all.
- Clear your browser data for nationrepair.net to remove any cookies that have already been set.
- Send a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal from a supporting browser or extension. We treat valid GPC signals as a request to opt out of sale and sharing.
Even if you reject all non-essential cookies, the site will still work normally — only analytics and advertising measurement are disabled.
5. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent change.
